Morris TF Series W-60 - MIJ - 1979/80

Morris TF Series W-60. Being made in Japan in 1979/80, this places this guitar in the beginning of a superb era for Japanese-made acoustic guitars. Morris are consistently top grade in both the high quality materials and craftsmanship.
 
This being a higher end model, the most eye-popping part about this guitar is the hexagonal inlays on the fretboard. There’s so much colour to each piece of abalone, the blues, greens, and pinks pop out so much more than the guitars we’ve had previously. The top of this guitar is a beautiful piece of solid spruce with an abalone binding, rosewood back and sides, and a flame maple centre strip. This sounds beautiful, the note definition, warmth, and pure volume are excellent. 
 
Mahogany neck with a soft V profile, rosewood bridge. This plays beautifully, the action is at a medium-low level. 
 
In excellent condition overall, hardly any fretware is present. Difficult to believe that this is almost 50 years old! Some minor dings to the top of the guitar. Some dings on the neck joint and on the back of the neck. 
 
Comes with hard case.
