Fender Stratocaster ST72-US - CIJ - 2008 - Old Candy Apple Red

Fender Stratocaster ST72-US - CIJ - 2008 - Old Candy Apple Red

SOLD

Fender ’72 Reissue Stratocaster, Crafted in Japan in 2008. The clear highlight is the Old Candy Apple Red finish; it looks beautiful, and the colour goes excellently with the white pick guard and the attractive dark Rosewood fretboard. Body stamps show that this was made on 08/04/08.

All the hallmarks of a 70s Stratocaster are here. Large headstock, big logo, bullet truss rod, and a 3-bolt neck with tilt shift. Featuring a Basswood body, gloss poly finish, Maple neck (oval profile) with a Rosewood fretboard (7.25” radius). Pickups are the original US-made ST-Vintage single coils, and this one also has big Japanese pots. Die-cast Block S5D Current bridge with CBS-style saddles.

This guitar sounds awesome; the American pickups always bring the sound of the Japanese-made Strats to the next level. Playability is awesome; the action is low. This guitar is an awesome package and will most certainly outclass many others with much higher price tags.

Overall, in good condition. There is a fair amount of grazing on the bottom of the body, mainly on the left, as shown in photos. A couple of dimples are present around the body. Minor pickwear is on the scratch plate. Hardware is in excellent condition. Very little fretware. Small marks are on the top of the headstock.

Weight: 3.5kgs. Great weight!

Comes with gig-bag.

At Guitar Garage our focus is to refurbish and restore all guitars to the highest standard. Low action and playability is important to us. Our philosophy is "A guitar that plays well, sells well".
